5 nights, 6 days, 11 family and friends
= 1 helluva trip
Planning
Preparing a once-in-a-lifetime trip with 11 guests, 9 months of planning, 4 dinner reservations, 3 round-trip flights, 2 excursions, and 1 accommodation came together better than you’d expect.
Made with Meaning
With our modest budget, we wanted to be intentional and thoughtful while making a big impact. I designed everything with durable materials that would last throughout the week, travel, be usable for future events, or be kept as a keepsake. Every detail was labored with love and care.
Production
Teamwork made this dream work, and all my real-world, professional practice made this execution run as smoothly as possible. Our mood boards manifested fun summer nights outfitted fabulously with delicious food.
Excursions & Events
-
As soon as we were ten toes down at the accommodations, we started decorating and setting up Cheers at Check-In for the rest of the guests’ and the bride’s arrival. Complete with custom cookies and a champagne tower with coupe glasses and name charms, it was the best way to kick off the trip!
-
Starting our first full day off strong, the highlight of the trip was our Crab Island boat-and-float tour. Meeting at Destin Crab Island Adventures in Destin, we took the “Summer Lovin’” to the island, saw dolphins in the bay, and played at the sandbar, swimming and lounging all afternoon.
-
The evening started with pre-dinner drinks at The Havana Beach Club rooftop bar before surprising the bride with a LaCo-catered dinner at the magnificent sunset beach bonfire by It’s Lit Bonfires, complete with a circle of gravity chairs. The night faded from sunset to stars and ended with gazing into space.
-
Our last evening wrapped with a custom Jeopardy game night celebrating the birthday girl and couple. The game consisted of three categories about her, him, and them, complete with answers directly from the groom.
